As you you can tell by now I love my birds.

The full size Seagull was a project that has been in the back of mind since a kid.

A joint project with Andy Smith and Gavin Williams

The body profile top and bottom was cut with a CNC Cutter (templates will also work)
Wings are cut, once again I used the CNC cutter but no reason why templates cannot be used.
I used a eh2510 at the root and a eh1010 at the tip

Gull wing cradle cut using a ply template
Wings vacuum bagged over cradle
Feathers were cut into the trailing edge
The wings should look a bit like this
I used RDS units and Robart hinges
Starting to look like a gull
While the Gull did fly with out any vertical control surfaces, it was very tender to fly.
One small mistake and you were nesting.
I attached some clear PVC under the legs.
It now flies like a trainer.
It loops and flies inverted.
